Churrasco Brazilian Steakhouse is getting closer to opening in Downtown Palm Springs, boosting the city’s international cuisine options.

The Brazilian Steakhouse first opened its doors at another location in Reno Nevada in 2020. By 2021, it was voted “Best New Restaurant” by the local paper there, the Reno Gazette Journal. In Palm Springs, the restaurant was expected to be open in March 2023 however, there were construction delays. No specified date for the opening has been established just yet however, a company representative is cautiously optimistic the restaurant will be open sometime in May.

The Steakhouse will be located right next to Johnny Costa’s Ristorante, and will be open for dinner 7 nights a week and lunch on the weekends. According to their website, they “will offer 15 all you can eat meats to include filet mignon, ribeye, lamb chops, beef ribs, Picanha (House special), bottom sirloin, filet with bacon, leg of lamb, top sirloin, beef Brisket, chicken with bacon, pork ribs, Parmesan Pork, chicken thighs and pork sausage,” where customers will pay a fixed price with servers bringing exotic food items to the table throughout the course of the meal.

If meats aren’t your thing, the restaurant also has non meat related items like chilled salads, imported cheeses, and mushroom risotto.

The owners of the restaurant are from Brazil with twenty years experience owning and operating several additional restaurants in the United States. On their website they proudly state, “Churrasco treats guests to an unforgettable Brazilian steakhouse experience through our chef-driven cuisine, world-class full bar, and unparalleled hospitality. At Churrasco, guests are surrounded in an energetic and luxurious atmosphere.”
