Palm Springs, CA
A full day dedicated to wellness, reflection, and community connection is set to take place on May 2, 2026, at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, as part of Mental Health Awareness Month.
Organized by Convergence Healing, the event will run from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and bring together local practitioners, spiritual leaders, and wellness professionals to share tools and insights focused on physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.
The day begins with a noon meet-and-greet, where attendees can connect with one another and enjoy a fresh lunch sourced from a local farmers market. Programming will follow with a series of discussions, demonstrations, and interactive sessions designed to encourage learning and personal growth.
The keynote presentation, titled “The Importance of Healing Physically, Mentally and Spiritually,” will be delivered by Convergence Healing founder Peter Bedard, setting the tone for the day’s programming.
The event is structured around four themed sessions:
- Healing Through the Body (1:00 – 2:00 p.m.) will explore physical health and its connection to overall wellbeing. The panel will be moderated by Thalia Hayden and include Eva Alvarez, Wendy Ansley, and Aida Johnson-Rapp. The session will conclude with a yoga demonstration led by Ansley and students from College of the Desert.
- Healing Through the Mind (2:15 – 3:15 p.m.) will focus on mental health and mindfulness. Moderated by Corey Roskin, panelists include Dr. Karyl Ketchum, Dr. Douglas Sadownick, and Hail Wiggins. The session will end with a Laughter Yoga demonstration led by Adry Rubio.
- Healing Through the Spirit (3:30 – 4:30 p.m.) will feature a discussion on spiritual practices and their role in daily life. Grace Garner will moderate a panel including Perry Lang, Rabbi Adina Allen, and Shelley Karpaty. Attendees will also learn how to create a personal mantra or chant.
- Healing Through the Death Experience (4:45 – 5:45 p.m.) will offer a compassionate discussion about end-of-life experiences and navigating life’s later stages. The panel will be moderated by Craig Liebelt and include Glendon M. Geikie, Kara Hoppe, and Ron Smith.
The event will conclude with a one-hour immersive sound bath from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., led by sound healer Katt Adkins.
Organizers say the goal is to make the event accessible to the entire community. Sliding-scale ticket pricing is available, allowing attendees to choose a cost that fits their budget.
